– Goldings (US) or Canterbury Golding is an Aroma Variety of Hop, Discovered to be identical to the East Kent Golding Variety grown in the UK. US grown Goldings, while maintaining similarities to East Kent Goldings, shows distinct Pine, Grapefruit, Mango and Citrus like qualities not found in the UK grown Variety. Displaying a more assertive Aroma, of Fresh Peaches, Mango, Passion Fruit and Grapefruit, and a more Delicate, Balanced, Earthen and Herbaceous Bitterness than the English grown Variety.With a moderate Alpha Acid Content of 4-6%, Goldings is a staple Hop in English Style Ales, Porters, Pale Ales and ESB’s. (US) Variety Grown in Washington State and Oregon, United States.
