– Summit is a Bittering Variety of Hop, Bred by the American Dwarf Hop Association in the Yakima Valley, Washington State. Summit Hops were the first Variety of Dwarf Hop to be bred for production in the United States. Expressing notes of bold Citrus, including Tangerine, Stonefruit Grapefruit, and Orange, with more subtle hints of Mango, Peach, and Lychee in the Aroma. Summit Hops are the Highest ranking among the Super Alpha Varieties with an Alpha Acid content of 16.0%-19.0%. Used in Imperial Ales, IPA’s, American Stouts and even New World Pilsners. Release in 2003 by the American Dwarf Hop Association in Washington State, United States.
