– Palisade is an Aroma Variety of Hop, developed by the Select Botanicals Group/HopUnion LCC, in Yakima Valley, Washington State. Developed via open pollination between a Northern US Male Hop Variety and Tettnanger, a German Noble Variety of Hop. Although mainly used as an Aroma Variety, Palisade borders on being a Dual Purpose Hop, with a moderate Bittering potential imparting Fruity, Earthen, Citrus-like Flavours with subtle hints of Spice on the Palate. Subtle Herb, Grass and Earthen notes in the Aroma, with Sweet Nectar and Floral Citrus-like characteristics. Developed in Washington State, United States. Grown by the Yakima Chief HopUnion LCC, and Internationally under license.
