– Millennium is a Bittering Variety of Hop, closely resembling the Columbus and Nugget Hop Varieties. Millennium is a High Alpha Hop Variety, developed by the John I. Haas, Inc. Breeding Program in 1989. Developed as a Bittering Variety, Millennium also provides a pleasantly Floral Aroma of Grapefruit, Mandarin, Earl Grey Tea, Lemon Grass, Peach and even slight hints of Passion Fruit. With an Alpha Acid Content of 15-18%, Millennium offers superb Bittering potential, making her ideal for Stouts, Brown Ales, and even Imperial India Pale Ales. Millennium is an effective replacement for Nugget and CTZ (Columbus/Tomahawk/Zeus). Developed in 1989 in the Yakima Valley, Washington State, and first Commercially Released in 2000. Grown in the United States, Australia, England, and New Zealand.
