– Centennial is a Dual Purpose Hop, first created in 1974, USDA, United States/WA. Blood Orange and Floral-Citrus dominate the Nose, with lesser hints of Pine-Needle, Lemon, Grapefruit, Lychee and Passion Fruit on the Palate. Often referred to as ‘Super Cascade’ boasting an alpha acid rating of 9.5%-11.5%, however displaying less Citrus and Lemon in the Aroma when compared with Cascade. Originating from the USDA Breeding Program in Washington State, United States, and Released in 1990.
