– Ahtanum is an Aroma Variety of Hop, bred by the Yakima Chief Ranches in Washington State and named after Charles Carpenter who established the Yakima Valleys first hop farm in 1869. Ahtanum gives Floral Citrus, Pine-Needle, Resin, Grass, Earthen-Spice and Grapefruit qualities, along with a mild Bittering potential. Showing strong similarities to Cascade and Amarillo, Ahtanum is becoming a favourite among Pale Ales, Lagers and IPA’s. Commercially grown and Released from the Yakima Valley, Washington State, United States.
