– Hallertau Mittelfrüh is a German Noble Aroma Variety Hop originating from the Bavaria Region of Germany. The ‘Noble Hop’ designation fits Tettnanger, Spalt, and Saaz as well, and refers to their high amounts of Humulene, and low Alpha Acid Content. Traditionally grown in Germany and more recently the United States, New Zealand and Australia, although recently Hallertau Mittelfrüh is being swapped out for more Resistant Varieties. Offering Herbal-Spice, Grass, Lemon Rind, Peach and soft Tangerine characteristics, with a Herbaceous, Fragrant, and Pleasant Aroma. Hallertau has set her name amongst the Bohemian Style of Brewing and is a staple Hop in Modern Lagers, Pilsners, Wheat and Bock Styles from not only Europe but the US, Australia and even Japan.
