– East Kent Goldings belong to the Goldings Family of Hops which consist of a group of traditional English aroma varieties, having been cultivated since 1970, the variety grown in the U.S. is Canterbury Golding. East Kent Goldings is considered a premium hop that is celebrated in the U.K. and the U.S. Kent is a Region in England, home to Canterbury, and is where this variety was brought to the market in 1790. Moderately balanced providing a Bitter backbone followed through with slight Floral, Resin and Pine needle characteristics. Commercially grown with multiple varieties in existence. A Staple English Hop used in Pale Ales, Ales and English Style Bitters.
