– Bramling Cross is a Dual Purpose Hop Variety, originating from the UK in 1927. Bramling Cross has a relatively moderate Alpha Acid Content of 5-7.5% which allows for it’s versatility. Slightly Spicy with a Herbaceous character, Bramling Cross also displays Floral, Fruity and Earthen qualities. With hints of Apple, Pear, Peach, Apricot, Lemon Grass, Basil and Black Currants. Commonly used as a Bittering Hop, Bramling can effectively be used at any stage of the Hopping process. Bramling and Monitoban were first mixed in 1927, resulting in the Bramling Cross we see making a come back in the Craft Beer World.
