– Motueka is a Triploid Aroma Variety of Hop, developed and released by New Zealand’s HortResearch. Developed as a cross-breed between a New Zealand Breeding Variety (2/3) and Belgian Saaz (1/3) Hops. Motueka delivers fresh Lemon, Tangerine, Lychee, Lime and Tropical Fruit to the Palate. With a more distinct Aroma of Grapefruit,Passion Fruit, Herbal-Spice and Cut-Grass. Lending a moderate Bitterness in the Finish, with all the Citrus, Peach, Grapefruit and Mango associated with New World Ales, Motueka is a gem worth finding. Commonly used in India Pale Ales, Pilsners, and Hoppy Pale Ales.
